Hi Rose,

Are you getting the drugs from Healthcare at Home?
If you are, it could be that the hospital haven't told them you need a nurse visit, so give Healthcare at Home a ring.

Hello All

Well I have been poorly since last week end and also have the dreadful chesty cough (which I know lots have had)
on top of that l also cut the knuckle part of my index finger very badly. So GP has advised me not to start the
TNF until I am completely better and the cut healed properly.

So I did not chace on Wednesday as I said I would.. Play another waiting game.

Sorry to hear you are not well Rose, that sounds a nasty cut on your finger.
I have just had a chest infection and had to stop the mtx and humira till I was better, hope you are soon feeling better and can get started on it.

Love, Doreen xx

hi Rose,

thought i'd let you know i will be joining you with going onto Humira.

had my second session with Rheumy Nurse this morning, so think it will be 3 - 4 weeks.

have to say i'm feeling daunted just like i was with starting the Methotrexate, but i know i've got to get on with it.

have just read the literature i was given and watched the DVD about self injecting.

i am now down to 10mg Methotrexate from 20mg and have to say my sleep has improved slightly on that dose ( i've posted many times i feel Methotrexate has caused my poor sleep ) although never been a great sleeper, and i am still on Hydroxy.

the trade of with the Methotrexate reduction is my inflammation is sky high ... so have had a Depo and hoping it works. i totally forget last time i had one i came out in Hives only about 3 or 4 on my legs ... and it's happened again today, but they go after a couple of hours. obviously i'll have to let Rheumy Nurse know, but as they've gone i'm not overly bothered for now .. just wondering if it will affect me having any more in the future.

Rheumy Nurse said i will have to stay on the 10mg Methotrexate and Hydroxy for the first 3 months.

so my Prescription list is growing by the day !!

be interested to hear how you get on once you start,

i'll start my own Thread once i'm up and running ... wouldn't it be nice if the Humira let me run !! .. lol Smile

Hi Suzanne
Really pleased things are moving on for you and fingers crossed you will be up and running soon!
Im waiting to start tnf too in the next 3 weeks or so but I have opted for infliximab as I really didnt like self injecting, im back on the mtx tablets now (20mg) still but they make me feel very sick and weak.. Hopefully if the infliximab works I can reduce them eventually, the things we go through eh? Anyway look forward to hearing how you get on and wishing you lots of luck xx

Hello All

I am still coughing nasty stuff so not started Humira yet. My cut has healed though.
Next Thursday for 3 nights going to Malaga for city break with my Mike. So I wont
start now until I get back. So still on amityp, celcoxib, prednisl, tramadol, paracetamol,
2 x blood press and simvador. So a few to be going on with.

Suzanne,

Glad you got on well at the Hosp today. Ooo so starting the same drug as Ailsa and
mysel. It will be good to know we all going through the same highs and lows. Hopefully
highs rather than lows.

Well done. Yes I can't wait to feel as near normal as I can and I am sure you and everyone
else does as well.

hi Rose,

hope you have a fab time on your break.

i've been on anti-biotics again this week, finish today. i had a chest infection over Christmas and i still felt the remnants from it, so saw GP for routine BP check last week and he said i was not chesty now more " crackling ".

this could account for my raised CRP as i had an infection.

yes will be interested to see how you Ailsa and me get on ... be good to compare notes.

fingers crossed for the 3 of us xxx
